SIGNIFICANCE OF BABA

Baba was Bim's excuse for not wanting to change although he did not speak throughout the play. Baba illness was Bim's excuse when her siblings asked her why nothing has changed at the Das home upon their return. Baba also enjoyed living in the past because of the fact he adored his gramophone and would not give it up for anything.
